ACHE of South Florida

ACHE OF SOUTH FLORIDA: CHAPTER MISSION AND HISTORY

ACHE of South Florida, the local chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), is organized to improve healthcare delivery by providing opportunities for the professional development of its members through educational and social activities.

The South Florida Healthcare Executive Forum (SFHEF) was founded in 1972 as a non-affiliate of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and became the local chapter of ACHE for South Florida in 2008.

In 2017, Florida's Treasure Coast ACHE chapter became part of SFHEF.

In 2020, SFHEF changed its name to the American College of Healthcare Executives of South Florida, or ACHE of South Florida (ACHE-SFL).

ACHE of South Florida currently serves the following counties: Broward, Glades, Hendry, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe and Palm Beach.

THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF HEALTHCARE EXECUTIVES (ACHE)

The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is an international professional society of more than 48,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations.

ACHE is known for its prestigious credentialing and educational programs and its annual Congress on Healthcare Leadership, which draws more than 4,000 participants each year. ACHE is also known for its journals, the Journal of Healthcare Management and Frontiers of Health Services Management and its magazine, Healthcare Executive, as well as ground-breaking research and career development and public policy programs. ACHE's publishing division, Health Administration Press, is one of the largest publishers of books and journals on all aspects of health services management in addition to textbooks for use in college and university courses.

Through such efforts, ACHE works toward its goal of being the premier professional society for healthcare leaders by providing exceptional value to its members.
